Last week, the Mary Lyon Centre at MRC Harwell and the MRC National Mouse Genetics Network hosted an event focusing on resources and funding opportunities for rare diseases.

The meeting served as a platform for diverse stakeholders in the field, including academic and commercial entities such as LifeArc, Research Complex at Harwell, Innovate UK, the Medical Research Council, Oxford-Harrington Rare Disease Centre, Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, and the Epilepsy Research Institute, among others.

Nick Lench, Executive Director of NATA, delivered a compelling presentation on NATA's mission. He emphasised NATA's progress in developing, testing, producing, and scaling up NATs—innovative treatments with the potential to address both common and rare diseases.
